When I first heard of powder foundation, my initial reaction was to say OH GOD
NO. I have combination-dry skin so (in my mind) anything that is powdery that requires me to a) apply with a sponge and b) does not have Japanese/Korean cosmetics-level hydration will leave my ski flakier than usual and just unhappy 🙁 (Covergirl pressed powder, I’m looking at you **cue angry frown**

As a Bobbi Brown fan, I actually got this from Mama Cappuccino, who is similar in skin tone as I am and she had this sitting in her makeup drawer…in her steady rotation of powders, foundations and all other fun stuff. 🙂

Might as well put it to good use, eh? 😀

After my slight issue with the shade of the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, I decided to pair this lighter powder foundation on top of it (after adding a drop of the Le Metier to it at this point 🙂 ) as a touch up compact and to dust it on top of my foundation with a nice fluffy powder brush. Although the texture of the powder is not as moisturizing as what Japanese/Korean two-way powders are, this powder foundation is comparatively more moisturizing amongst products from major Western companies. I took a stroll by the Bobbi Brown counter to check out the product’s pricing, and I found out that in Hong Kong, the foundation pan and the compact case are sold separately. However, when I went on the Bobbi Brown website, there was no indication of them being sold separately? Maybe someone can verify this? 🙂

At this point, I would repurchase this product if and when I’m feeling extra splurge-y as this is relatively more expensive than the other two-way/powder foundations that I’ve tried out 🙂
