Estée Lauder Nutritious Vitality8 Radiant Moisture Cream Review

Price: HKD580 (RRP) | HKD493 (Sasa)
Volume: 50ml

8 days. That’s the focus and claim from Estée Lauder for this line and of course, the claims are that once you use this line that is infused with the Pomegranate8 Complex, your skin is:

  1. Nourished
  2. Hydrated
  3. Energized
  4. Calmed
  5. Supple
  6. Refined
  7. Smoother
  8. Radiantimage

Housed in a luxurious red and gold glass jar with a twist-off lid, the cream has a white, almost mousse-like texture that’s soft and silky smooth upon application and it fully absorbs into the skin without leaving behind a greasy or oily residue. It has a subtle sweet pomegranate scent that’s very light and refreshing; in addition, it may be lightweight on the skin, but it is indeed highly hydrating — even more so when I paired it with my ANR II Face Serum. I only used a loonie-sized amount to cover both face and neck and kept my skin well-hydrated for the entire day.

As a day cream, this was fantastic in terms of hydration for my combination-dry skin as although it’s in a cream form, my face didn’t oil up into a greasy mess, and I’ve tried using this under makeup as well as when I went make-up free to see if this would turn me into a disco ball during the day without the help of any primers or other products. However, at the same time I was slightly disappointed that this didn’t have any SPF in the formula. I wonder if it’s because the added SPF would make the texture of this cream a little too thick or harder to absorb? In addition, germaphobes would not be too pleased with the packaging, as not only does this come in a jar, there’s no little spatula for you to scoop out the product; as such, you’re left with either using a spatula that you already have or your own fingers (the horror O_O).

Packaging aside though, I’m still firmly in the Team Lauder for this particular day cream as I felt that it followed through with most of the claims up until this point, albeit I would give it some time — not necessarily just the eight days — to prove itself 🙂 I had to keep telling myself to calm down when I first used this and I would check to see if my skin actually looked any more different the next day LOL 😀 As with any good cream, I would look for high-performing creams that prove its worth over time as opposed to ones that overpromise and underdeliver.

Give this time and you shall see with this cream 😀
