Biotherm Lait Solaire SPF50 Review
Continuing with my sun protection post, I find myself reaching for this sun milk more often than not because it’s lightweight with an awesome citrusy lemon scent and it has a great SPF coverage. I’ve used this on its own for my face and body, and actually, these days, I’ve used this on my face, neck and décolletage after my morning skincare routine and before I put on my Kiko Skintone Correcting Primer. Using the dotting method, I only really need a pea-sized amount for my face before squirting out another pea-sized amount for my neck and décolletage.
I will note here that I’m probably able to get away with using this sunscreen under my makeup now because it’s winter and in addition to having combination-dry skin, I also work in an air-conditioned environment (i.e. I sit right underneath it.); I doubt that I’d be able to do so once it gets warmer as it does add an extra layer of moisturization to my skin. Again, if you’re okay with the dewy look this will probably not bother you but if you’d rather not look dewy, approach with caution when applying this to your face.
I find that the light fluid spreads easily and sinks in within a minute, which is very impressive for something with such a high SPF. I noticed that there’s no white cast from this sunscreen when I applied my makeup afterwards, nor did it leave any residue whatsoever on my clothes and such. Another important point to add is that although there is a citrusy lemon scent to it, my skin — face and body — did not react adversely to it.
All in all, I quite like this sunscreen from Biotherm and I’m definitely repurchasing this when I run out of this 200ml bottle! <3
